Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator is a crucial player in the transportation and supply chain management sectors, responsible for ensuring products and materials move smoothly from suppliers to end-users. In this role, you'll play an essential part in the coordination and scheduling of logistics transportation activities, maintaining the flow of goods within a company. You'll ensure that shipments are made efficiently and that goods are delivered on time, enabling the company to meet its production and sales goals. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Communicate with suppliers, freight companies, and customers regarding shipping schedules.
  • Monitor shipment progress and quickly resolve any arising issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, receipts, and shipments for data processing.
  • Oversee supply levels and coordinate with purchasing to fulfill inventory needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and shipping rates with carriers to minimize costs.
  • Develop and manage logistical plans that optimize shipping operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and legal government regulations.
  • Review shipment documents to verify accuracy and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and submit logistics performance reports to management regularly.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team for loading and unloading operations.
  • Provide customer service support as necessary, ensuring satisfaction and resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related position required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for dealing with logistical challenges.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
