The position of Logistics Assistant is crucial to the seamless operation of any organization, ensuring that all logistical aspects are handled with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and customers for smooth operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of shipping documents and invoices.
  • Monitor the accuracy and condition of deliveries upon receipt and dispatch.
  • Update inventory systems to reflect accurate product availability and movement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
  • Resolve any logistics related issues and process improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and company regulations on logistics operations.
  • Participate in planning and forecasting activities to improve service delivery.
  • Support the logistics team in daily administrative tasks and functions.
  • Generate regular reports on logistics metrics, performance, and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics is preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • Proficient in logistics and inventory management software tools and applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, as well as import and export procedures.
