Job Description

The Logistics Assistant at our company plays a key role in managing the transport, storage, and distribution of goods. As a central figure in our logistics operations, you will ensure that the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. Your primary duties will involve maintaining inventory, liaising with suppliers and customers, and monitoring transportation activities. You will work closely with the logistics team to support all logistical requirements needed by the organization and help in resolving any arising issues or complaints. An eye for detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to multitask are vital traits for success in this position. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Assist in the preparation and reviewing of transportation schedules.
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs and freight invoices.
  • Provide support in resolving customer issues related to logistics.
  • Liaise with various departments to forecast supply needs effectively.
  • Ensure timely process of orders from receipt to distribution.
  • Maintain updated records of orders, payments, and customer information.
  • Participate in stock audits and reconciliation processes regularly.
  • Contribute to the development of logistics strategies and processes.
  • Maintain strong communication lines with team and external partners.
  • Assist in optimizing logistics operations to reduce overall costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a logistics role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
