Job Description

The Learning & Development Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the skills and talents of employees within an organization. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that align with the company's goals and objectives. The Learning & Development Specialist will work closely with department heads to identify training needs and develop curricula that foster professional growth and productivity. Additionally, this role involves evaluating the effectiveness of current training initiatives and recommending new strategies to ensure a continuous and comprehensive development plan is available to all employees. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in educational methodologies and excellent communication skills, allowing them to effectively deliver training sessions and motivate learners to achieve their potential.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and analysis to provide targeted development solutions.
  • Create engaging learning materials and resources tailored to various learning styles and needs.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees across all departments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by utilizing feedback and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify areas for employee skill enhancement and growth.
  • Facilitate e-learning courses and virtual workshops using professional learning platforms.
  • Keep up to date with current industry trends and integrate new learning technologies as appropriate.
  • Develop training strategies that align with organizational goals and promote continuous learning.
  • Support and mentor employees in their career development and learning journey within the company.
  • Assist in establishing metrics and KPIs to measure the success of training programs.
  • Manage the training budget efficiently while ensuring quality learning experiences for participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing successful training programs.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness through data analysis and feedback.
  • Proficiency with e-learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and timelines.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is preferred but not required.
