As a Lab Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the functioning and efficiency of our laboratory operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical laboratory tasks such as preparing samples for analysis, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory, and adhering to safety and quality protocols. The position demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision, as well as an understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment. Your contributions will support the accurate and timely processing of laboratory results, which are critical for research and development, quality control, or diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with scientists, researchers, and other lab personnel to ensure that high standards of laboratory practice are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and label samples accurately for laboratory testing and analysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in good condition.
• Conduct routine tests according to standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and laboratory results.
• Ensure all work areas comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in the calibration and troubleshooting of lab equipment as needed.
• Participate actively in lab meetings, training sessions, and safety drills.
• Prepare chemical solutions and reagents as per standardized recipes and procedures.
• Receive, catalog, and manage inventory of laboratory supplies and materials.
• Perform quality control checks to verify the reliability of laboratory outputs.
• Assist researchers and scientists with experiments as needed for project progress.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for facility and equipment repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related laboratory science field.
• Minimum of two years experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and standard procedures.
• Ability to prepare chemical reagents and perform common laboratory tests effectively.
• Proficient in using laboratory software and data management systems competently.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting lab work consistently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary lab team.
