Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and organization of laboratory equipment and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the laboratory setting at all times.
• Conduct routine and specialized tests as directed by senior laboratory staff.
• Handle, label, and store samples accurately to prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry and inventory management.
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment regularly.
• Assist in the documentation and reporting of laboratory test results promptly.
• Provide support in research projects by gathering and analyzing data.
• Collaborate with team members to improve laboratory processes and procedures.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage the inventory of laboratory supplies and reorder stock as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent level of experience required.
• Proven experience in a laboratory setting or related technical role is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and understanding technical manuals.
