We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of daily menus and specials.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure operational efficiency and high standards.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure availability of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Support the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills.
  • Contribute to new recipe and menu development processes alongside senior chefs.
  • Monitor portion sizes and presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist in the management of food cost and minimize kitchen waste.
  • Modify recipes to meet customer dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Evaluate and address customer feedback to improve kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing kitchen staff effectively.
  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with kitchen and service staff.
