Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong desire to keep our systems running smoothly and efficiently. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problem causes, and determining and implementing solutions will be some of your key tasks. You will be a critical point of support for ensuring optimum performance across all IT resources within our organization, helping maintain our technology infrastructure to the highest standard.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues.
  • Respond promptly to user queries via chat, email, or phone calls.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications within the organization.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including network, hardware, and software issues.
  • Ensure technical operations optimally by monitoring system performance regularly.
  • Maintain an accurate log of support requests and resolutions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of IT projects and upgrades.
  • Provide occasional on-site support to remote office locations if necessary.
  • Educate users on best practices for using IT systems and applications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates on all IT and telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals for user support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT Support or technical support role for 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and most common peripherals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on user satisfaction and results delivery.
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSE, or similar is an added advantage.
