Job Description

As a Guest Service Associate in the Food & Beverage department, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. Your role will require you to deliver exemplary customer service and attend to guests’ needs in a courteous and efficient manner. You will be responsible for taking orders, responding to queries, managing payments, and ensuring that guests receive top-quality service throughout their time in our dining establishment. This position requires a friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining the high standards of service that our guests expect and deserve.


Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly and provide personalized service throughout their visit.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen.
  • Offer menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients and allergens.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience to ensure satisfaction with service.
  • Process payments and issue receipts through the point-of-sale system accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure guests receive timely and complete service.
  • Address guest complaints or concerns professionally, and escalate when necessary.
  • Knowledgeably explain specials, promotions, and new menu additions to guests.
  • Assist in setting up tables and preparing beverages and dining utensils as necessary.
  • Keep the supervisor informed about guest feedback and service issues regularly.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve service skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or customer-facing role preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to multitask efficiently.
  • Basic math skills required for handling transactions and issuing change.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
