We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist (BDS) to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be adept at addressing a range of oral healthcare needs, providing superior patient care, and promoting dental hygiene awareness among patients. As a General Dentist, you will examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. You will also provide preventive and restorative care, ensuring a high standard of practice by maintaining professionalism, staying updated with the latest dental advancements, and delivering services in accordance with health guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough dental examinations, evaluating a patient’s dental and overall oral health.
  • Diagnose and treat various dental conditions, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform routine cleanings, scaling, and root planing to prevent oral health issues.
  • Administer anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patients during procedures.
  • Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and pain relievers, for dental health issues.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients suited to their oral health needs.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other dental specialists.
  • Educate patients on best oral hygiene practices and preventive measures.
  • Utilize dental instruments and equipment effectively to deliver high-quality dental care.
  • Keep accurate records of patient visits, including charting and documentation of procedures.
  • Stay informed of advancements in dentistry by attending educational workshops and seminars.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all dental procedures and practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid dental license to practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Proven experience as a General Dentist or similar role in a dental practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of dental care procedures, tools, and diagnostics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, with exceptional hand-eye coordination.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in clinical practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other health professionals in a team setting.
