Job Description

As an essential part of our establishment, the Front Desk Clerk plays a pivotal role in creating an exceptional experience for our guests. Serving as the initial point of contact, the Front Desk Clerk is tasked with welcoming guests, managing reservations, and addressing inquiries with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. In a fast-paced environment, this role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to multitask effectively while ensuring the smooth operation of front desk activities. The optimal candidate should be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to maintain our service standards and enhance overall guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude upon arrival.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain updated records of reservations and room availability daily.
  • Answer telephonic and electronic inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff for guest requests and issues.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Provide information about hotel services and local attractions to guests.
  • Handle complaints or demands from guests with patience and efficiency.
  • Process payment transactions securely, including balancing cash at end of shift.
  • Monitor security cameras and alert staff of any unusual activities.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation arrangements.
  • Perform additional clerical duties as required to support front desk operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Prior experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficiency with front desk scheduling and management software tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and bookings accurately.
