The Front Desk Clerk plays a crucial role in establishing the first impression for guests at our organization. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Front Desk Clerk is responsible for managing a variety of tasks that ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for all guests and visitors. Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and visitors with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle telephone calls and respond to emails with timely and appropriate information.
  • Keep the reception area neat, organized, and presentable at all times for visitors.
  • Inform guests about hotel facilities, programs, and other pertinent information.
  • Handle guest complaints and inquiries, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Process payments and provide guests with necessary billing information promptly.
  • Maintain an accurate record of room bookings and manage reservation systems.
  • Ensure guest privacy and security, and maintain confidentiality of hotel data.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest concerns promptly.
  • Provide support to the front desk team and assist in resolving operational issues.
  • Assist in administrative tasks including printing, organizing, and filing documents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality roles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach are required.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
