Job Description

The Financial Controller is a crucial member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial health of our organization. This position involves the development and implementation of internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to ensure all financial activities comply with regulatory standards and meet organizational goals. The Financial Controller is expected to provide strategic guidance and support to senior management by preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. This role demands a high level of accuracy, integrity, and a thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles. As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures, while also contributing to the overall strategy by addressing financial opportunities and risks.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including budgeting and auditing processes.
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance and present them to senior management.
  • Develop strategies to manage financial risks and drive organizational compliance improvements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local financial reporting requirements.
  • Monitor internal controls and implement improvements to safeguard company assets and financial data.
  • Manage the preparation of the company's annual, quarterly, and monthly financial statements.
  • Analyze financial trends and provide guidance on future strategies and course corrections.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits and ensure accuracy and compliance in reporting.
  • Supervise and manage finance department personnel, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Review and manage tax policies, ensuring efficient compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive the achievement of overall corporate goals.
  • Ensure efficient use of company resources by recommending cost-saving measures and budget allocations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial management roles, with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and accounting applications is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and risk management processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, management, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
