Job Description

The Financial Controller 16M26 is a vital role within our organization's finance department, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and budget management. As a key financial leader, the Financial Controller will work closely with executive leadership to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, as well as support strategic planning and decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial systems and regulations. With a commitment to excellence, the Financial Controller will strive to optimize financial processes, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and safeguard the company's financial health.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and ledger functions.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and standards for the organization.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities to optimize liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Lead the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Monitor internal controls and implement improvements to enhance financial accuracy.
  • Supervise and develop financial team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities with thorough financial due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial practices, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of team development.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not mandatory for consideration.
