Job Description

The Finance & Accounts Executive plays a crucial role within the financial department of an organization, overseeing and managing essential accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and preparing financial statements. This position demands a high level of attention to detail as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates will often liaise with various departments to ensure financial compliance and integrity in all financial activities. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing monthly financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial management and accounting practices, along with proficiency in financial software and tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of the organization’s financial operations.


Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including verifying and processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly to ensure account balance accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in budget preparation by providing financial insights and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data for financial reporting.
  • Monitor company budgets and financial projections to provide variance analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual tax submissions and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain updated records of company expenses and perform routine checks and balances.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Generate financial reports on a regular basis to present to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal requirements, and senior management decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a financial management role preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
