Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to ensure the continuous operation of desktop environments for our business. You will work closely with other IT professionals and end-users to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment, ensuring optimal performance. This role demands excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and experience in desktop administration. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to employees regarding hardware and software issues.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Maintain and update all user accounts and authorization settings as necessary.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including upgrades and preventive maintenance.
  • Identify and rectify performance issues with workstations and remote access systems.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist staff with the installation and testing of new software applications.
  • Manage and resolve user issues via the company ticketing system.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on equipment and software usage.
  • Collaborate with network services and other IT teams to resolve client issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation on troubleshooting processes and fixes.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance desktop support services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a desktop support or related IT position.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to understand and apply technical instructions efficiently.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, for user support.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Capability to work independently and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
