Job Description

As a concierge, you will serve as the primary point of contact for guests, providing them with information and assistance to ensure their visit is comfortable and enjoyable. Your role is pivotal in offering exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, making reservations, and managing customer requests. You will foster positive guest relationships, utilizing your extensive knowledge about the hotel and its offerings, as well as the surrounding area. The ability to anticipate guest needs, handle unexpected situations with ease, and maintain a professional demeanor is crucial in this role. The ultimate goal is to ensure guests have an exceptional experience during their stay.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon their arrival at the hotel.
  • Assist guests by providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Make reservations for dining, transportation, and entertainment, as requested by guests.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and services.
  • Keep an organized log of guest requests, issues, and follow-up actions to ensure closure.
  • Ensure lobby and other guest spaces are clean, welcoming, and presentable at all times.
  • Promote hotel services and amenities to guests to enhance their stay experience.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members in concierge services.
  • Ensure that guest privacy and confidentiality are always maintained.
  • Consistently meet and exceed guest expectations through personalized service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred for this position.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or guest service role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using computers and hotel management software applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
