Job Description

A Collection Executive plays a crucial role in managing and recovering outstanding debts from individuals or businesses, ensuring timely payment and contributing to the financial health of an organization. This position demands excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to handle cases effectively and maintain positive customer relationships. Operating across various sectors such as finance, retail, and service industries, a Collection Executive works closely with accounts and billing departments. Responsibilities

  • Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding debts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and communications.
  • Negotiate payment plans and financial terms with delinquent accounts.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and keep the financial team informed.
  • Analyze the financial situation of clients to determine solvent solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Prepare reports on collection activity and status of accounts for management.
  • Monitor aging accounts and implement strategies to recover unpaid amounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements concerning debt recovery.
  • Identify potential high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate action plans.
  • Support legal proceedings by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients and handle complaints diplomatically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in collections or a similar field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult situations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and develop effective recovery strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
