Job Description

A Collection Executive plays a crucial role in the financial sector by ensuring that debts are recovered in an efficient and timely manner. As the primary point of contact between the organization and the customer, a Collection Executive is responsible for maintaining customer relationships and addressing any payment-related issues. This position requires strong communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit and collection processes and be able to negotiate payment plans and settlements effectively. This role is vital in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing and reducing outstanding debts.


Responsibilities

  • Contact customers via phone or email to discuss payment obligations.
  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve payment issues with customers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer contact records and payment information.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile treated accounts.
  • Prepare and send regular statements and reminders to customers.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and implement timely and effective recovery strategies.
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Adhere to all relevant compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while managing sensitive information securely.
  • Generate progress and status reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve personal knowledge and understanding of industry regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new collection strategies and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a collections or similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • The ability to analyze customer financial status and make decisions accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using relevant accounting software and collection tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of debt collection processes.
