Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Billing Assistant to join our finance team. As a Billing Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate billing records, ensuring timely invoicing, and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization. You will work closely with the finance department to assist in the preparation of billing statements, verification of account balances, and resolution of any billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of billing procedures. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute accurate billing statements to clients in a timely manner.
  • Verify billing data, such as product prices and contract terms, for accuracy.
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for all billing-related records and documents.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports related to billing activities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of billing procedures and systems.
  • Analyze billing data to identify trends and suggest ways to enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy of billing information.
  • Assist with setting up new customer accounts and updating existing account information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Billing Assistant or similar role in finance.
  • Solid understanding of billing procedures and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
