Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our finance department. As a Billing Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing the company's billing operations, ensuring that invoices are generated accurately and delivered in a timely manner. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and review bills and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Maintain client account records and manage the billing system for timely updates.
  • Address and resolve billing discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing activities.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure clear communication regarding billing inquiries and clarifications.
  • Support in developing and implementing billing processes and procedural improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations during billing processes.
  • Provide customer service support in resolving billing-related complaints or questions.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closure processes concerning billing activities.
  • Generate monthly billing statements and coordinate with the sales team for accurate inputs.
  • Conduct periodic audits to verify the accuracy and integrity of billing data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Billing Assistant or in a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of billing software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with teams and address client issues.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and procedures relevant to billing.
