Job Description

The Assistant Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of the supply chain department. This position is mainly responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring all supply chain activities. The goal is to improve productivity, efficiency, and reduce costs while securing high-quality material delivery. This role involves coordinating supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Assistant Supply Chain Manager must work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders such as suppliers and distributors. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team. A deep understanding of supply chain operations and best practices, as well as compliance with industry regulations, is critical for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of supply chain operations through efficient communication.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to create effective supply chain strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Analyze supply chain data to forecast supply needs and manage inventory effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal supply chain policies.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain operations to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with logistics partners and service providers.
  • Support cross-functional teams in ensuring seamless product flow throughout the supply chain.
  • Identify risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with inventory management principles and distribution practices.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.
