Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager is a pivotal role within the retail team, providing key support to the Store Manager while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store. This position requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about retail, customer service, and team management. The Assistant Store Manager will be instrumental in driving sales and supporting marketing campaigns, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving store performance goals. By working closely with the store staff, the Assistant Store Manager will aid in fostering a positive and productive work environment, while also helping to implement various company guidelines and strategies. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and management tasks.
  • Support the achievement of sales targets and store performance objectives.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishments are made.
  • Provide training, supervision, and development of store staff members.
  • Handle customer complaints and queries with professionalism and tact.
  • Implement visual merchandising guidelines to enhance store aesthetics.
  • Coordinate store promotions and special events to boost sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations in the store.
  • Analyze sales reports and data to identify business opportunities and trends.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate objectives and solicit feedback.
  • Support hiring processes by interviewing and onboarding new team members.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is required.
  • Proven retail management experience of at least two years in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in retail software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
