Job Description

As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and production process by assembling, inspecting, and testing industrial and commercial products to ensure high-quality standards and performance metrics are maintained. Your role will be pivotal in identifying and troubleshooting any discrepancies or failures in the assembly line and test phases. A robust understanding of technical schematics, blueprints, and engineering instructions is essential to successfully perform this role. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with safety and quality assurance protocols, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications before they leave the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and exhibit a strong commitment to producing superior quality products.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble products using engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and detailed schematics.
  • Conduct thorough tests on finished products to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical or assembly issues during production.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, test results, and any product anomalies.
  • Work closely with design engineers to implement product improvements and updates.
  • Ensure all products and components adhere to company quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform regular maintenance and calibration of test equipment and assembly tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline assembly processes for increased efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians and new hires as needed.
  • Participate actively in quality control and improvement activities to enhance production.
  • Assist in inventory management by reporting shortages and coordinating with supply teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in assembly and testing roles within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of assembly techniques and testing procedures for various products.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to read complex technical documents.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy components and equipment regularly.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and computer systems for testing purposes.
