Job Description

As an Admission Counsellor, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, providing them with the necessary information about our institution, programs, admissions process, and financial aid options. You will guide and support potential students throughout their application journey, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Your role involves evaluating student needs, discussing goals and aspirations, and matching them to our diverse range of offerings. The ability to build rapport quickly and inspire confidence is key, as is a thorough understanding of the educational landscape and the unique selling points of our institution. We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for education to join our team and help students make informed decisions about their futures.


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive guidance on admission procedures and application requirements to potential students.
  • Conduct informational sessions and campus tours to educate prospective students and their families.
  • Assess prospective student backgrounds and objectives to recommend suitable programs and pathways.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programs offered, admission standards, and institutional policies.
  • Assist students in filling out applications and understanding any supporting documentation required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high schools and other educational institutions to promote our programs.
  • Communicate with applicants regularly to provide status updates and resolve any application issues.
  • Organize and attend recruitment events and open houses to attract prospective students.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute strategic outreach and communication plans.
  • Analyze market trends and provide feedback on improving recruitment strategies and materials.
  • Track and report on enrollment data and admissions metrics to management.
  • Provide excellent customer service ensuring a high level of satisfaction among potential and enrolled students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in academic advising or student recruitment is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage and inform prospective students effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling student information and records.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online marketing techniques for student engagement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events and partnership coordination.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
