Job Description

As an Admission Counsellor, you will play a vital role in guiding potential students and their families through the admission process of our educational institution. You will act as a liaison between the prospective students and the institution, effectively communicating the benefits and unique features of our programs. Your role will require you to be empathetic, communicative, and highly knowledgeable about our academic offerings. You will be responsible for building relationships with students, answering inquiries, and facilitating their journey from application to admission. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities to promote our institution positively.


Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed information about various academic programs to prospective students.
  • Assist students and families in understanding the admission requirements and application processes.
  • Conduct informational sessions, tours, and open houses to engage potential students.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student interactions and inquiries.
  • Work closely with the admission team to meet recruitment and admission targets.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to the institution.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries related to the admission process in a timely manner.
  • Participate in outreach programs, fairs, and community events to promote the institution.
  • Guide applicants through the application process, including form submissions and interviews.
  • Evaluate the qualifications of applicants based on established admission standards.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to stay informed about changes in programs and offerings.
  • Provide support and continuous follow-up with applicants to ensure a smooth admission experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within admissions or student recruitment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Empathetic approach and a genuine interest in helping students succeed in their education journey.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a personable demeanor to engage prospective students effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM software for managing student records.
