As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our organization's IT infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring seamless operation and efficiency of our daily technology needs. This position requires a strong problem-solving mindset, support of network servers and technology systems, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with our diverse IT team. You will regularly collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and end-users to maintain and optimize technical systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing both proactive upgrades and reactive troubleshooting to enhance the system's security and performance. Responsibilities

• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection and disaster recovery.
• Assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities to protect infrastructure integrity and privacy.
• Coordinate and manage user access controls, privileges, and authentication protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any reported system and network issues promptly and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to design and implement strategic system enhancements and upgrades.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and updates for future reference and compliance audits.
• Manage server and network hardware, including setup, maintenance, and decommissioning as necessary.
• Plan and lead technology projects to enhance system capacity and capabilities.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and new team members.
• Stay up-to-date with current technology trends and best practices to continuously improve systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Manager, or similar role required.
• Strong knowledge of various operating systems and networking protocols is essential.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization technologies preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical staff.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are beneficial.
