A Spray Painter plays an integral role in finishing products by applying paint using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality surface finish. The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing the surfaces, mixing paints to the specified formula, and applying paint evenly to various surfaces such as vehicles, machinery, or any large-scale projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by removing grease, rust, scale, and previous paint coatings.
• Mix paints to achieve the desired color, texture, and consistency per project requirements.
• Operate spray painting equipment following manufacturer's guidelines and safety protocols.
• Apply primers, intermediate and finishing coats on products to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Perform quality checks to ensure paint adherence, thickness, and evenness on surfaces.
• Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures are in place during painting processes.
• Maintain spray equipment in top condition, performing repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within set deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of paints used, job orders, and completed tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to promote efficiency and safety.
• Follow all environmental regulations concerning the disposal of paint waste and materials.
• Continuously learn and apply new techniques to improve painting efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a spray painter or in a similar role is required.
• Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques and equipment handling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for color and finish quality.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy painting equipment.
• Understanding of safety precautions in handling paints, chemicals, and painting tools.
