Job Description

The Senior Parts & Services Consultant is a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of parts and service operations within an organization. This position demands a highly experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of automotive parts, service management, and customer service excellence. The consultant will work closely with dealership staff, suppliers, and customers to ensure that all parts and service operations meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role is also responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance profitability, streamlining processes, and maintaining superior customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have robust leadership skills, the ability to analyze complex situations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for parts and service operations improvement.
  • Analyze current operations to identify areas for process optimization and enhancement.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure parts availability at all times.
  • Train and mentor staff to achieve peak performance and optimal customer service.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate best pricing and delivery terms.
  • Oversee customer service protocols to maintain high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Generate detailed reports to track performance metrics and profitability.
  • Resolve complex customer complaints and equip team members with resolution skills.
  • Implement health and safety standards across all service operations.
  • Lead projects aimed at introducing new technologies to improve service delivery.
  • Participate in strategic meetings to forecast future trends in parts and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive, business administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in automotive parts and service roles.
  • Proven expertise in parts inventory management and service operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Familiarity with industry standard software and tools for operations management.
