Job Description

The Reservations Manager plays a critical role in the hospitality industry, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within a hotel's reservation department. This position requires someone with excellent organizational skills, a knack for customer service, and the ability to oversee a team effectively. As a Reservations Manager, you will be the key person responsible for managing room bookings, maximizing occupancy levels, and overseeing the daily administration of the reservations team. You will also liaise with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction from the point of booking to the completion of their stay. Your role will entail observing market trends, optimizing pricing strategies, and maintaining a strong relationship with stakeholders and guests. Working closely with the sales and marketing division, you will contribute to promotional activities highlighting the hotel's offerings and packages. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the hotel’s reservation operations.
  • Develop strategies to maximize room occupancy and maintain REVPAR.
  • Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Implement yield management techniques to optimize revenue performance.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient data entry in the reservations system.
  • Monitor and adjust room availability and rates as market demands.
  • Train and supervise the reservations team to maintain service standards.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing reservation statistics.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team on promotional activities.
  • Assist in developing and managing group bookings and tour operator contracts.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor strategies to remain competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a reservations or front desk management position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle guest interactions.
  • Proficiency in hotel reservations systems and software applications.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities to manage a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with yield management practices and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate detailed reservation reports regularly.
