Job Description

As a Procurement Executive, you will be an instrumental part of our supply chain management team, responsible for acquiring goods and services necessary for the company's operations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and within the deadlines set by the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships. You will be tasked with evaluating suppliers to ensure they meet necessary quality standards, negotiating contracts to get the best price, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement processes, exceptional analytical skills, and a strong sense of ethics in business practice.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to effectively manage purchasing operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and prices.
  • Assess supplier performance to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to forecast procurement needs and reduce purchasing costs.
  • Maintain a detailed record of procurement operations and supplier agreements.
  • Analyze trends and market conditions for present and future pricing, availability, and lead-time.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure all agreements align with company policies.
  • Conduct cost breakdown analysis for major procurement projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in the procurement process.
  • Resolve any conflicts with suppliers to ensure seamless procurement operations.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead a team of procurement staff and provide training and development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and suppliers.
