Job Description

The Procurement Executive is a vital role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall procurement strategy. This position involves negotiating contracts, sourcing new suppliers, managing supplier relations, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management, possess excellent negotiation skills, and demonstrate the capability to make informed decisions that align with the company's strategic goals. The Procurement Executive must also ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations, as well as manage budgets effectively to achieve cost efficiency. In this dynamic role, the executive must also stay informed about market trends to optimize procurement strategies and processes, driving value throughout the supply chain.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with company objectives and targets.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable purchase agreements.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and assess product availability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and resolve any arising conflicts.
  • Monitor the delivery schedule of goods and services to ensure timely completion.
  • Analyze historical data and prevailing market trends to forecast future procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
  • Manage procurement contracts ensuring all service level agreements are met satisfactorily.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement expenses.
  • Report on key metrics and performance indicators to the senior management as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex procurement data efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
