Job Description

The Procurement Executive is a pivotal role within the supply chain management function, responsible for sourcing and purchasing products and services that are essential for the company's operations. Acting as a liaison between the company and suppliers, the Procurement Executive ensures that business requirements are met in a cost-effective manner, maintaining quality and sustainability standards. The candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring that procurement processes are followed efficiently. This role calls for a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, facilitate communication with internal stakeholders, and manage risks associated with procurement. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across different departments to align procurement strategies with company goals.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives and optimize spending.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, including conducting market research and supplier audits.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to maintain quality and reliability.
  • Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to inform sourcing decisions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ascertain procurement needs and align with operational goals.
  • Manage procurement documentation including purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and contract archives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to procurement activities.
  • Develop risk management strategies to anticipate risks and mitigate potential impacts on supply chain.
  • Conduct regular cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee the supplier selection process to ensure compatibility with company criteria and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role within the industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing beneficial agreements.
  • Excellent analytical skills for market analysis and problem-solving in procurement processes.
  • Proficient in procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent systems.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to manage supplier and internal relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies.
