Job Description

The Presales Specialist plays a crucial role in the sales process, serving as the technical expert who meets with clients to understand their requirements and prepare suitable solutions. They work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver presentations and demonstrations that align with customer needs and highlight how the company’s offerings meet those needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the company's products, customer pain points, and competitive landscape. The Presales Specialist must also possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this position is measured by successful conversion of prospects into customers due to insightful technical guidance and support.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and craft appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase offerings to potential clients.
  • Work with marketing and product teams to develop meaningful sales collateral.
  • Provide expert level guidance on product features, applications, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations for client meetings.
  • Identify customer pain points and tailor solutions to specifically address those needs.
  • Contribute to competitive bids and responses for tenders, proposals, and quotations.
  • Analyze competitors' offerings to position company products appropriately in the market.
  • Gather customer feedback and relay it to product development teams for consideration.
  • Train and support sales teams to enhance their understanding of technical offerings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitive products.
  • Support team members with product-related inquiries and address technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a presales, technical sales, or similar role.
  • Proven track record of supporting successful sales for technical products or services.
  • Exceptional communication skills for leading client presentations and discussions.
  • Strong analytical skills to develop proposals and understand complex customer needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools.
