Job Description

As a Pre-Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early educational experiences of young children, facilitating their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and curiosity. This position requires creativity, patience, and a deep commitment to fostering a love of learning in young minds. You will collaborate with a team of educators and communicate effectively with parents to support the holistic development of each child. A strong foundation in early childhood education principles, alongside a passion for nurturing young learners, is essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop age-appropriate lesson plans to engage pre-primary children in learning activities.
  • Conduct daily educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning.
  • Evaluate and document children's progress and achievements through observations and assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's development and classroom experiences.
  • Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior reinforcement techniques consistently.
  • Incorporate play-based learning to help children achieve key developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development opportunities regularly.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and interests of children.
  • Encourage social skills and peer interaction among children through group activities.
  • Provide support and guidance to children with special educational needs or challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required.
  • Previous experience working with pre-primary or early years children preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues are essential.
  • Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to fostering a love of learning.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and learning strategies.
  • Ability to design and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable for this position.
