Job Description

As an Order Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire order processing workflow from beginning to end. This position requires you to be the linchpin that connects sales, logistics, and customer support teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient order process that results in high customer satisfaction. This role will have you working intimately with inventory management systems and collaborating effectively with various departments to monitor the status and progress of orders. By managing and rectifying any issues that arise in the ordering processes, you will help maintain customer trust and satisfaction while optimizing business operations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end order processing workflow efficiently.
  • Collaborate with sales and logistic departments to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Track orders through inventory management systems from order entry to final delivery.
  • Communicate with customers to provide order status updates and address inquiries.
  • Identify and resolve order discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customer orders and transactions.
  • Analyze order processing reports and propose improvements for enhanced operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all order management tasks.
  • Work closely with customer service to resolve any post-shipment concerns or feedback.
  • Assist with inventory management and planning to confirm product availability.
  • Provide training to junior team members on effective order management practices.
  • Generate and handle invoicing and prepare necessary documentation for orders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience in order management or a related operational role.
  • Solid knowledge of inventory management and order processing software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex order issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
