As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of projects. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive and detailed engineering drawings that ensure the integration and compatibility of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Your work will support engineers and architects in the development of building plans, ensuring that all systems work seamlessly together. You will use your keen eye for detail and proficiency in design software to translate conceptual designs into clear and accurate technical drawings. The role requires collaboration with various teams and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations. Your contributions will be foundational in delivering projects that are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with the client's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed MEP drawings utilizing CAD software according to project specifications.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to incorporate MEP designs into overall project plans.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building regulations and industry standards.
• Review project specifications and confer with engineers to ensure clarity and completeness.
• Modify and update existing MEP designs to reflect changes and corrections as required.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve design challenges.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, and diagrams for system installations and modifications.
• Collaborate closely with the project management team to meet deadlines and project goals.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and verify measurements and layouts.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants for seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Maintain organized records of design documents, revisions, and project correspondence.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior draftsmen and other team members.

Requirements

• Diploma in Drafting, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman or similar technical role is essential.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and their integration within building designs.
• Excellent communication skills to convey design concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing technical drawings.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet project deadlines effectively.
