Job Description

As a Logistics Fleet Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our transport operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet, ensuring that all logistics activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in a cost-effective manner. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the seamless delivery of goods, while also managing costs and maintaining high standards of customer service. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving operational performance and ensuring the highest quality of service is consistently delivered.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the daily operations of the logistics fleet to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements for transport operations.
  • Coordinate with drivers and logistics personnel to plan and execute deliveries efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations and driver activities for audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the timely servicing and repair of vehicles.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to drivers on best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate service agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment on logistics objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics operations and performance metrics.
  • Implement and oversee the use of transportation management software for fleet operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a fleet management or logistics coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of transport regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize logistics operations.
  • Proficient in the use of logistics and fleet management software tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and operational needs.
  • Valid driver's license and knowledge of local geographic areas is preferred.
