Job Description

The Leasing Consultant plays a crucial role in the property management industry, acting as the bridge between prospective tenants and property owners. This position involves showing rental properties to potential tenants, preparing leasing agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with both tenants and property owners. The role requires excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of the real estate market, and a customer-centric approach to ensure tenant satisfaction. A successful Leasing Consultant possesses strong sales skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. They are responsible for ensuring that properties are leased quickly and profitably while providing exceptional service to prospective and current tenants.


Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet prospective tenants in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Present properties and amenities in a positive and inviting way.
  • Provide detailed information and answer questions about leasing options.
  • Assist with marketing strategies to attract potential tenants to properties.
  • Conduct property tours and effectively showcase available rental units.
  • Process and manage leasing applications and related documentation efficiently.
  • Facilitate lease agreements and verify tenant applicants' background information.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with tenants to address their concerns promptly.
  • Ensure properties and rental units are clean and ready for tours and leasing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and community groups.
  • Collaborate with property managers to achieve leasing targets and objectives.
  • Track and report leasing activity, occupancy, and market trends routinely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications a plus.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, or real estate preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
  • Proficient in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
