Job Description

The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and nurturing relationships with the organization’s most important clients. This role requires a strategic approach, as the Key Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that the key accounts are satisfied with the service and products, addressing their queries, and negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building long-term partnerships, understanding client needs, and offering innovative solutions to help them achieve their business goals. Working closely with other departments, the Key Account Manager ensures that the company's commitments to the clients are fulfilled and is often seen as the bridge between the customer and the business. This job will require a combination of high-level sales expertise and strategic communication abilities.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trust-based relationships with key accounts.
  • Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries.
  • Develop tailored solutions to meet customer needs and expectations efficiently.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a high quality of service delivery to key clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
  • Meet key clients face to face, conduct client account reviews, and plan strategic meetings.
  • Address any customer complaints or issues within the stipulated time frame.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to grow business with existing and potential key clients.
  • Align with the company’s high standards of service and work ethic in all professional undertakings.
  • Utilize sales data to create reports on account performance and identify areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or a similar customer relationship role.
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and communication skills are necessary for this position.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their needs and expectations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple accounts.
  • Proficiency in CRM software to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet and exceed challenging sales targets consistently.
