Job Description

The IT Support Associate Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the seamless operation of an organization's IT infrastructure. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and eager to develop a career in IT support. Tasked with providing essential technical assistance, the IT Support Associate Engineer will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, deploy new equipment, and ensure all IT services meet predefined standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral devices for end users.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions using the helpdesk system.
  • Assist with the onboarding process by setting up user accounts and profiles in the system.
  • Monitor network performance and escalate issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates of computer systems to optimize performance.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for the repair and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Participate in rolling out new applications and operating systems to end users.
  • Respond promptly to service issues and requests, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users on best practices for system usage.
  • Stay informed of emerging IT trends and recommend tools to improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of IT support documentation, including training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, network configurations, and software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support diagnostic tools.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications is a plus.
