Job Description

The IT Support Associate Engineer is a critical member of our technology support team, acting as the first point of contact for internal clients experiencing technical challenges. This role requires a proactive and customer-focused approach to problem-solving, ensuring seamless and efficient resolution of issues to minimize disruption to business operations. The position involves handling hardware, software, and network Troubleshooting, along with providing end-user training and support. As an IT Support Associate Engineer, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure that all IT systems run smoothly and efficiently, while contributing to the development of IT policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping others.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac platforms.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for employees.
  • Support issues related to network connectivity, including LAN, WiFi, and VPN connections.
  • Document and track issues using a ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees, ensuring IT resources are managed.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates and patches to computers and software.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new technologies and applications.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and manage asset tracking for company resources.
  • Participate in developing IT policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and propose improvements to enhance IT support processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in IT support or a related technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and associated software applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, LAN, and WiFi.
  • Proficiency in using ticketing systems to manage and document IT support requests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
