Job Description

The Finance Officer – Hospitality 31O25 is a pivotal role within the financial department of a thriving hospitality organization. This position is integral for managing and executing financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations. The Finance Officer ensures the organization’s financial integrity by implementing efficient accounting systems and analyzing financial data to provide strategic insights. This role requires a deep understanding of the hospitality industry’s unique financial challenges and opportunities, as well as strong analytical skills. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily financial and accounting operations within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry best practices in hospitality.
  • Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Analyze financial data and generate accurate financial reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with other departments to prepare annual budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets.
  • Evaluate financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support financial audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to finance team members on procedural issues.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage the organization's liquidity effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports as required.
  • Predict future financial trends and advise on cost-saving strategies and options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
  • Minimum of three years of financial management experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written for effective collaboration.
