Job Description

The Hospitality Industry is constantly evolving, and we are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our team and contribute to our financial strategy and operations. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial processes, financial reporting, budget planning, and economic procedures in the hospitality sector. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our financial systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing critical insights and recommendations that will drive financial health and sustainability. You will work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making and will report to the Finance Manager. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial management in the hospitality industry.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support management decisions.
  • Oversee daily financial operations including billing, payroll, and accounting processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions within the organization.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial systems and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct financial analyses to forecast revenue, predict future trends, and assess risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to analyze departmental financial performance and costs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders and executive management.
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, ensuring continuous learning and development.
  • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, including variance analysis.
  • Review and enhance financial strategies to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Proven experience of at least three years in a financial role within hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of financial laws, procedures, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple financial projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
