Job Description

The Field Service Engineer II (FSE II) position is a critical role within our organization, designed for individuals who possess a strong technical background and a passion for hands-on problem-solving. As a key member of the field service team, the FSE II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively in diverse environments. This role requires excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and provide comprehensive equipment training and support. The successful candidate will have the expertise to diagnose issues quickly and develop effective solutions, contributing to the ongoing advancement and success of our clients' operations.


Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, configuration, and testing of equipment at customer sites efficiently.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunction or breakdown issues systematically for quick resolutions.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and performance checks to ensure optimal equipment operation.
  • Coordinate with the technical support team to address complex technical issues promptly.
  • Document service and installation actions thoroughly to keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers on equipment operation and best practices.
  • Advise customers on necessary upgrades or repairs for improved equipment performance.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and manage time effectively for high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with product development teams to identify potential improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure availability for prompt service delivery.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations while performing field duties diligently.
  • Travel to various customer sites as required to deliver exceptional field service support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience needed.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in field service or technical support roles.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse customer populations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork and customer support engagements.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate fieldwork transportation as needed.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software and technical documentation is highly desired.
