Job Description

As an essential member of the hospitality team, the F&B Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. The F&B Attendant is responsible for upholding the highest standards of service, contributing to the seamless operation of the food and beverage section, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience. From greeting and seating guests to taking orders, the F&B Attendant must demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and a thorough knowledge of the menu offerings. A keen eye for detail, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are essential attributes for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables promptly and courteously.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverages available.
  • Suggest menu items and specials to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff efficiently.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring they meet the establishment's quality standards.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure they are enjoying their meals and provide any additional assistance.
  • Address any guest queries or concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Process payments, handle cash and card transactions, and manage billing accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service deliveries.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to promote a safe dining environment.
  • Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and upcoming events at the establishment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic setting.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is typically required.
