Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and components in compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical problems and determine effective solutions to resolve issues efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints accurately.
• Perform routine inspections to identify hazards or dysfunctional components and ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in reliable operating condition.
• Recommend necessary upgrades for outdated or compromised electrical systems and components.
• Adhere strictly to safety and performance standards and regulations on all job sites.
• Document inspection results, maintain logs, and prepare reports on work performed or needed.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices or junior electricians as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical information and service recommendations.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest electrical codes and technology.

Requirements

• Valid electrician’s license and several years of relevant experience in the field.
• Proven experience with electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, as well as hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
• Able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for on-call duties and willingness to work irregular hours if needed.
