Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor is a critical role that involves overseeing and managing the electrical systems within a facility or project. The role is pivotal in ensuring that all electrical systems and components work safely, effectively, and in accordance with relevant codes and specifications. The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure that electrical tasks are completed on time and within budget. They must also ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide technical guidance and support to the electrical team. A successful Electrical Supervisor will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and have a strong understanding of electrical systems and schematics. The role requires experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair within a commercial or industrial setting.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance and operational procedures.
  • Provide leadership, training, and technical guidance to the electrical team.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline electrical system operations.
  • Plan and schedule electrical work to ensure timely completion within budget.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve electrical issues and problems.
  • Ensure documentation of electrical work and maintenance records are accurate.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in electricity.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and management of electrical project budgets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or equivalent role in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and safety codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools effectively.
  • Relevant professional certification or degree in electrical engineering preferred.
