Job Description

A Counter Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in a retail or wholesale environment, acting as the primary point of contact for customers at the sales counter. Specializing in direct customer sales, this position requires someone with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. As a Counter Sales Executive, you will be responsible for assisting customers with purchasing decisions, handling transactions, and ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers promptly upon entering the sales area.
  • Provide accurate product information and make suitable recommendations to customers.
  • Process sales transactions swiftly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and display area at all times.
  • Manage inventory effectively by ensuring stock levels are adequate and replenished.
  • Prepare sales quotes and invoices for customers in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance sales performance.
  • Assist in restocking shelves and placing promotional displays as required.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve overall sales targets and objectives.
  • Stay updated with product knowledge to provide accurate and latest information.
  • Collect and address customer feedback to improve customer service and experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in sales is a plus.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction.
  • Proficient in using the point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Positive attitude and a proactive demeanor in addressing customer needs.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and sales reporting.
