Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in preparing authentic South Indian dishes with precision.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and personal hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and cooking vegetables and proteins.
  • Measure ingredients accurately to ensure recipe consistency and quality control.
  • Contribute to menu planning by suggesting innovative South Indian dish ideas.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following food safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report inventory levels of South Indian spices and ingredients.
  • Participate in kitchen training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in plating dishes, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
  • Receive and verify deliveries of food and kitchen supplies according to specifications.

Requirements

  • Previous experience or formal training in South Indian cuisine preferred.
